How do I know when it is time to come in for a checkup?
A healthy adult typically benefits from a professional cleaning and checkup once every four to six months. While brushing twice a day and flossing daily help to maintain healthy teeth, professional cleaning is required to remove plaque that has hardened into tartar (which we call calculus). A regular checkup is needed so that the dentist can detect cavities at early stages before they get bigger which can be detrimental.

In some cases, a person may actually stop breathing for short periods during the night; a condition called sleep apnea. FAQ - Invisalign
The process begins with a thorough examination, where we create a personalized treatment plan based on digital scans and images. A set of custom-made, clear aligners are fabricated to fit your teeth precisely. Every 1 to 2 weeks you will switch the aligner to the next one and will experience gentle pressure on specific teeth, gradually shifting them into their desired positions.
The duration of Invisalign treatment can vary depending on individual orthodontic needs and the complexity of the case. On average, Invisalign treatment takes about 6 months to 2 years to complete.
First, you’ll have a consultation with your dentist to determine if Invisalign is the right option for you. If it’s a suitable choice, digital scans and images of your teeth will be taken to create a personalized treatment plan. Custom-made, clear aligners will be fabricated specifically for your teeth. You’ll wear these aligners throughout the day for about 20 hours, removing them only for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. Every 1 to 2 weeks, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners, gradually shifting your teeth into alignment. Regular check-ups will be scheduled to monitor your progress and ensure your treatment journey is on track.
The cost of Invisalign treatment can range from $4000 to $8000 depending on the multiple factors such complexity of the case, number of aligners required, and duration of treatment.
We offer various payment options to make Invisalign treatment accessible. Our dental office accepts most major credit cards, WeChat Pay, AliPay, cash, and e-transfer. Additionally, depending on the complexity of the case, with a deposit of $1000, we offer in-office financing options of up to 16 months. Some patients may have dental insurance coverage that includes orthodontic benefits, which can help offset the cost of Invisalign

Invisalign treatment is a modern orthodontic solution designed to straighten teeth and improve overall dental alignment. Invisalign utilizes a series of custom-made, clear, and removable aligners to gradually shift teeth into their desired positions. The aligners are virtually invisible, providing a more aesthetic and comfortable option for patients. Invisalign treatment offers greater convenience as the aligners can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing, making it easier to maintain good oral hygiene. It is an excellent choice for achieving a beautiful, confident smile without the need for traditional braces.
Traditional braces and Invisalign are both effective orthodontic treatments, but they differ in several key aspects. Traditional braces use metal brackets and wires to gradually move teeth into position. In contrast, Invisalign employs clear, removable aligners for a nearly invisible and more esthetically pleasing option. While traditional braces are fixed and require periodic adjustments, Invisalign patients receive a series of custom-made aligners that they change every 1 to 2 weeks. Additionally, Invisalign aligners can be removed for eating and oral hygiene, whereas braces are fixed in place throughout the treatment. The choice between the two options depends on individual needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
Invisalign clear aligners are made of flexible plastic — specifically, a thermoplastic material called SmartTrack created exclusively for Invisalign Treatment.
Invisalign is suitable for many patients with mild to moderate orthodontic issues, such as crowded teeth and gaps. Both adults and teenagers can benefit from Invisalign. However, complex cases may require alternative orthodontic treatments. A personalized consultation with your dentist will determine if Invisalign is the right fit for you based on your oral health, alignment needs, and lifestyle.
The cost of Invisalign treatment is similar to traditional braces.
Yes, some patients may have dental insurance coverage that includes orthodontic benefits, which can help offset the cost of Invisalign. Be sure to be familiar with the terms and conditions of your dental insurance coverage, or simply allow us to check for you.
Invisalign attachments are tooth-colored, enamel-bonded features used in some treatments to enhance aligner grip and enable precise tooth movement. Strategically placed on specific teeth, these attachments aid in addressing complex movements like rotations or vertical adjustments
Typically, patients are scheduled for check-ups every 4 to 8 weeks. At these appointments, your dentist will assess the alignment progress, provide new sets of aligners, and address any questions or concerns you may have. These appointments are usually 10-30 minutes long.
FAQ - Veneers
Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted from tooth-colored materials like porcelain or composite resin. They are designed to cover the front surface of teeth, improving their appearance and providing a natural-looking smile. Veneers can effectively mask various dental imperfections, such as discoloration, chipped or misshapen teeth, and gaps. The procedure involves minimal tooth preparation, making it a conservative option for enhancing the aesthetics of your smile. With proper care and maintenance, dental veneers can offer long-lasting, transformative results for a confident and radiant smile.
Two main types of dental veneers are porcelain and composite. Porcelain veneers offer durability and a natural look, while composite veneers are more affordable and provide immediate results. Porcelain veneers typically last longer compared to composite veneers.
Composite veneers can last 4-7 years on average. Minor repairs may be required during the course of the life span. Porcelain veneers can last 10-15 years.
Dental veneers are thin shells that cover only the front surface of teeth, enhancing aesthetics and correcting minor imperfections. On the other hand, dental crowns encase the entire tooth, providing protection and support for heavily damaged or weakened teeth. Veneers are mainly cosmetic, while crowns offer both cosmetic and functional benefits.
Yes, dental veneers can be repaired in certain situations. If a veneer becomes chipped, cracked, or damaged, it is often possible to repair it rather than replacing the entire veneer. It is typically more challenging to repair porcelain veneers as opposed to composite veneers. The extent of the damage and the location on the tooth will determine if repair is feasible.
Yes, there are non-invasive veneer alternatives, such as no-prep veneers and composite veneers. No-prep veneers involve minimal tooth preparation, preserving the natural tooth structure. They are bonded directly to the teeth, offering a conservative option for enhancing smiles. Composite veneers are also a non-invasive option, where tooth-colored resin is directly applied and shaped on the teeth to improve esthetics.
There are two different types of dental veneers – composite (white fillings) and porcelain. Composite veneers cost about $750 per tooth whereas porcelain veneers cost between $1200 to $1700 per tooth.
Yes, dental veneers are highly effective in addressing various cosmetic dental concerns. They can effectively improve the appearance of stained or discolored teeth, chipped or cracked teeth, misaligned or irregularly shaped teeth, and small gaps between teeth. Veneers provide a versatile and minimally invasive solution to enhance the aesthetics of your smile.
The dental veneer procedure typically involves several steps. First, your dentist will conduct a comprehensive examination and discuss your goals. The process begins with minimal tooth preparation, where a thin layer of enamel is removed to accommodate the veneer. Then, precise digital impressions of your teeth are taken to craft custom veneers. During a second visit, the veneers are bonded to your teeth using dental cement.
Dental veneers are not suitable for individuals with active cavities or untreated gum disease. Before considering veneers, any existing dental issues should be addressed to ensure a healthy foundation for the treatment. Veneers are intended for cosmetic purposes and are placed on healthy teeth to improve esthetics
Dental veneers are a safe and popular cosmetic dental option. However, like any dental procedure, there are some risks to consider. While rare, potential risks include tooth sensitivity after veneer placement, slight changes in bite alignment, and the possibility of veneer chipping or cracking over time. Regular dental check-ups will help monitor the condition of your veneers and ensure their long-term success.
Teeth bonding, specifically Bioclear, is a conservative and innovative cosmetic dental treatment. Bioclear utilizes a unique and patented matrix system to address various dental imperfections. It involves placing a tooth-colored composite resin material to repair chipped, cracked, or misshapen teeth, as well as to close gaps and improve tooth appearance. Unlike traditional bonding, Bioclear offers a more durable and esthetic solution, resulting in beautifully enhanced smiles. This non-invasive procedure is a popular choice for patients seeking a quick and cost-effective way to achieve a more attractive and confident smile.
